Google is working on an app like Truecaller, may launch soon

If you feel that Truecaller is not perfect for you, then there is good news for you. Google is preparing to introduce a new version of ‘Phone by Google’ soon to give a tough competition to Truecaller, although Google has not officially given any information about the new app.

9 to 5 Mac was first reported about this new offer from Google. The name of this new app from Google will be Google Call, which will be capable of caller ID and spam protection. An advertisement of this app of Google has also been seen on YouTube, although this app is not yet listed on the Google Play-Store, but it is expected that Google will soon release it half-way. The ad seen on YouTube uses the caption “lets you answer with confidence”.

Let us tell you that the Google Phone app has recently received many features including reading the name of the caller. Google phone app is available for non-pixel phone users. After the update, information about the caller’s name, etc. will also be found on screen lock in this app.

Google has also added auto-deletion feature to this app, after which the history of the caller older than 30 days will disappear from the app. A shortcut to “Saved voicemails” is also added to the phone app. Google phone app is the primary dialer of Pixel series phones.
