Indian companies will buy Corona vaccine for employees, waiting for vaccine to be available
Major steel companies are planning to vaccinate Covid-19 to employees working in their plants and offices operating across the country. Tata Steel, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) have said that they will wait for the vaccine dose to become available to the companies. JSW Steel and Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) are already in talks with vaccine makers to place orders as per requirement.
Mahindra Group and ITC also start questioning vaccine companies
Apart from these, the Mahindra Group, which makes automobiles and provides IT services, and ITC, a leading consumer goods company, have also started questioning the vaccine companies for their employees after a government campaign to vaccinate frontline workers. The company’s corporate human resources head Amitabh Mukherjee said, “ITC is committed to providing vaccines to employees. We have contacted the companies making the vaccine and we are questioning them.”
JSPL to take vaccine doses after completion of vaccination of frontline Covid Warriors
JSPL’s Chief Human Resource Officer said, “We are in touch with the companies making the vaccine to buy doses in bulk.” We will try to get vaccine doses after the vaccination is complete for the frontline Covid Warriors. The company has already prepared the category of employees according to the risk of being Covid-19. The first vaccine will be applied to employees above 50 years of age and employees previously infected with Covid-19. The company has been conducting an RT-PCR test (coronavirus catcher) of every employee twice a month since September.
JSW Group plans to provide vaccines to employees in the next financial year
The JSW Group plans to provide the vaccine to the staff working in its corporate office, plant and township next financial year. The group is in talks to buy two lakh doses from an Indian company making vaccines. With this, it will be able to give his employees a double shot after being allowed to run private vaccination campaigns.
Two lakh frontline healthcare workers injected the first vaccine of Covid-19
Covid-19’s first vaccine was injected into the country on Saturday to nearly two lakh frontline healthcare and sanitary workers. In addition to doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, ambulance drivers and other medical staff involved in frontline professionals, sanitary workers and police have been vaccinated with Covishield and Covaxin. Covishield of Oxford is built by the Serum Institute of India, while Covaxin is produced by Bharat Biotech.

Government company RINL and SAIL have sent the details of the employees to the administration, they will be given priority in vaccination. Both SAIL and RINL run hospitals at their plant sites.
Vaccination of health workers at Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur starts from January 16
A Tata Steel spokesperson said that the company has been working with the government of Jharkhand and Odisha apart from the Center since the start of Covid-19. Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand has the largest Covid Care facility in the state with more than 1000 beds. Vaccination of 3000 health workers has started here from January 16 as per the priority set by the government.
