53% of companies will increase staff this year, most of the recruitments will be in technology companies

After battling the Corona epidemic, the economy is now on track. Therefore, companies are also making plans for new hiring. Professional recruitment service firm reported that 53% of Indian companies are considering increasing staffing. Hiring had fallen by 18% in 2020.

E-commerce companies will hold 12% more people

The highest number of recruitments are expected in technology companies. 74% of the tech companies surveyed said they would increase staffing. It is expected to increase by 14% on average. 68% of e-commerce companies will increase the number of staff by 12%. Similarly, 44% of construction companies intend to have 10% more employees.

The demand for applications engineer and chief technology officer will be highest. Professionals specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning will receive priority to increase the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) in virtual gaming.

Along with increasing salary, companies will also give bonus

According to the report, 60% of the companies are considering increasing salary, while 55% are also ready to give bonus. 43% of these companies will give more than one month’s salary bonus. The healthcare sector is expected to get the highest increment with an average of 8%. Increase of 7.6% in FMCG and 7.5% in e-commerce/internet service sector.

Companies that shut down operations also returned

The report said that companies that had to shut down their operations during the epidemic have also returned. They are hiring extensively. Interestingly, the 47 tech companies included in the study are focusing on arrangements such as sitting away and working whenever they want.

Survey conducted on 12 Asia-Pacific markets including India

The firm survey included 5500 companies and 2100 employees in 12 Asia-Pacific markets, including India. Among those who spoke, 3500 were more director level. An expert said that with the recovery in the Indian economy, most tech companies can increase their staff this year. Demand in many segments has reached pre-Corona status, so there will be competition to hire good professionals in companies.
