Work on strategy to increase exports started
The central government is confident that due to the announcements made in the budget in the coming months, the situation will change and the products made in India will increase business in the global markets. Also, the changes made on the custom duty will increase the availability of raw materials in the country.
Commerce Secretary Dr. Anup Wadhawan said that the country’s manufacturing capacity will be increased by the steps taken in the budget. Not only this, the country’s technical capacity will increase which will be helpful in promoting exports. According to him, steps to increase business ease will create an investment-enhancing environment. According to him, due to the mega-investment textile park, a world-class infrastructure will be created in the country and the economy will also get support. 7 textile parks to be built in 3 years.
Anup Wadhawan said that the government has started Operation Green Scheme for the food processing industry by making comprehensive reforms in the agriculture sector. Till now it was limited to potato, onion and tomato, but now it will be extended to 22 more items. This will help in creating infrastructure for agriculture and horticulture products.
Also, the budget allocation of Rs 1000 crore for the plantation sector will help in starting welfare schemes for tea planters, especially women and their children. This will help 10.75 lakh laborers. It will also help 6.23 lakh women workers.
Brainstorm on business
In order to improve business activities in the country and to give full benefit of government schemes to them, the Ministry of Commerce is organizing industry churn. Under this, a series of web seminars are being organized for about 45 sectors including pharma and electronics.
According to information provided by the government, the industry churn during the next few weeks will cover various sectors including pharma, medical devices, closed-circuit cameras, electronic systems design and manufacturing, renewable energy, robotics, aerospace and defense, which are self-reliant. This will be an important step towards achieving India’s goal. During the last four weeks, 18 web seminars have been organized on various fields including toys, leather, furniture and drones.
