According to a report, the central government is soon to launch a new PLI scheme in which companies making IT products such as laptops, tablets and servers, etc. will participate. There is a budget of 7,000 crores for the new scheme which will be spent in the next five years. The new IT PLI scheme may be announced by the end of February.
It is being claimed in the report that Apple is the largest investor in this scheme with 20,000 crore investment. It is expected that Apple’s iPad will be manufactured in Wistron in which iPhone is currently being produced.
Made in India iPad dream will come true
