Big Deal for Electric Vehicles! Amazon-Mahindra shook hands, know what will be the benefit

The way in which petrol and diesel rates are sky-high, there is only one way that the country can start adopting another alternative of fuel now. Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has also said this. Now we all have to understand that electric vehicles are now the future, so e-mobility in India is also getting a boost. In this connection, a deal has been announced between Amazon and Mahindra.

In view of the increasing craze on electric vehicles, Amazon India today announced an agreement with Mahindra Electric. Amazon India has connected Mahindra Electric’s EV to its delivery network. Under this deal, Amazon has connected about 100 Mahindra Treo Zor EVs to its delivery network in seven major cities of the country. Meaning Amazon will use these electric vehicles for the delivery of products.

In this deal, Mahindra Treo Zor has been connected to the network in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Indore and Lucknow. These vehicles have been deployed in the delivery service partners network of Amazon India.

The foundation of the deal announced today, its foundation was laid last year. When Amazon chief Jeff Bezos announced that he would add about 10,000 electric vehicles to his delivery network. According to e-commerce company Amazon, by the year 2025, about 10,000 electric vehicles will be included in its delivery network.

However, by the year 2030, Amazon aims to add 1 lakh electric vehicles to its delivery network worldwide. However, this deal with Mahindra is different from that. The 8 kW Treo Zor can carry up to 550 kg. It was launched in October 2020 and is equipped with advanced lithium-ion batteries

Amazon’s arch-rival Flipkart has also announced the adoption of fully electronic vehicles by 2030. Last year in August 2020, Flipkart announced that it would gradually add electric vehicles to its entire network and by the year 2030 it would have only electric cars in its network. Flipkart is currently using electric vehicles in Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Lucknow.
