For Android users only: Dark theme feature in Google map, know the whole process of activating it
After a long wait, Google Maps has finally started rolling out the dark theme for Android users around the world. Google wrote in its social media post, “What do we want? Dark theme! Where do we want it? Google Maps!” Google was testing dark mode for Google Maps since September last year.
The company says that night mode means providing much-needed breaks or comfort to your eyes as well as helping to conserve battery life.
This is how dark theme activates
To enable the dark theme, all you have to do is tap on the user profile icon in the upper-right corner of the Google Map, search the theme settings in the list of configuration options, and then select the entry that activates the dark mode.
To access this feature, users have to download the latest version of Android OS i.e. 10.61.2. Google Maps has a super-dark shade of gray for the background with dark mode features. The street names come in a light shade of gray, allowing users to easily see important sites and roads.
Google also provided a password checkup feature
Apart from this, Google has also made available password checkup feature for Android handsets. The company said that the features are currently integrated into Android phones with Android 9 and above. Explain that the company is making every effort to improve Google Maps. By sending updates over time to the users, the company makes their experience even better.
New road editing tool recently added to the map
Google has recently added a new road editing tool to the map. With the help of this tool, you can directly update by drawing the map. Google has introduced editing features to improve the experience of its maps in more than 80 countries. Now users can work on Maps to add missing roads and remove the wrong name or change the name.
