Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who came to help India, donated so many billion dollars
Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin has donated more than $1 billion (about Rs 73.62 billion) to the India Covid Relief Fund. According to Forbes, the donation is in crypto form, along with some other charities. Buterin became the youngest crypto billionaire in the world just a few days ago. Ethereum is the second-largest cryptocurrency in the world.
How much donation
Buterin has made big donations through dog-themed meme coins. These coins were gifted to him by the Creators of Shiba Inu coin (SHIB), Dogecoin (ELON) and Akita Inu (AKITA). In a single transaction, Buterin donated 50 million crore SHIB tokens worth $1.2 billion to the India Covid Relief Fund on 12 May. The fund has been created by Sandeep Nailwal, an Indian tech entrepreneur. Earlier in April, Buterin donated nearly $6 million to the India Covid Relief Fund in the form of Ethereum and Maker Tokens.
Still own more than 1 billion dollars
Other major donations made by Buterin are also worth millions of dollars and are also made in Ethereum form. These donations include gifts to non-profit charity Evaluator Givewell, gifts to the Methuselah Foundation and Machine Intelligence Research Institute. Buterin still has more than $1 billion in ether form.
