At least people should see wrong information
Facebook has said in a blog post that inaccurate or misleading content may be related to Covid-19 or vaccines, climate change, elections or other issues. We are making sure that at least people see the wrong information on our app. From today onwards we will reduce the distribution of news feeds being repeated from personal Facebook accounts. This will be identified by our Fact-Checking Partners.
Alert tool also launched for users
Facebook has also launched an alert tool for users. This tool will notify the users before engaging with the rated content from the fact-checking partner. This new tool will make it easier for users to identify reliable information. Facebook says that it wants to give users useful information before liking any page through pop-ups. Its purpose is to keep users away from the Facebook page spreading misinformation repeatedly.
