5G Network Solutions: Airtel and Tata Group join hands, announce partnership
Bharti Airtel and Tata Group have joined hands for 5G network solutions. In this regard, a joint statement issued by both the companies said that Tata Group has developed ‘O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) based radio and NSA/SA (non-standalone/standalone) core. The group has developed a completely indigenous telecom integrated by leveraging the capabilities of the partners.
It will be available for commercial use from January 2022.
“Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will provide global system integration expertise,” the statement said. It helps align end-to-end solutions for both 3GPP and O-RAN standards. Due to which networks and equipment are rapidly turning into software. Airtel will launch indigenous solutions projects in India as part of its 5G plans in January 2022.
