Hyundai’s smallest SUVmay be launched in India by September; Length will be less than Tata Nano

Hyundai car maker company is about to bring the new SUV to the market. It is being said that this will be the smallest SUV of the Hyundai brand. It will be named Micro SUV. This new SUV will first go on sale in Korea, followed by sales in the Indian markets. Talking about its length, it will be smaller than the 3099 mm of Tata Nano.

Hyundai has named the SUV Casper in Korea. However, if some reports are to be believed, its marketing name in the Korean market will be AX1 Micro-SUV. Talking about its price, it can be 5 lakh rupees. Which is the lowest in the SUV segment.

The name of the SUV will be Casper
Hyundai is known for giving unique names to its cars according to the market. Like Creta ix25 Verna is also called Solaris or Accent in some countries. That’s why the name of micro-SUV in Korea will be Casper, nothing can be said.

According to the report, the sub-four-meter Venue will be smaller than the compact SUV , it can be launched in the global market by September. So only after that it will be launched in other markets and India. The Casper will be Hyundai’s smallest SUV, meaning it will be smaller than the sub-four-meter Venue compact SUV.

Sub-four-meter Venue compact SUVs in India include the Tata Nexon (Rs 7.19 to 13.23 Lakh), Maruti Vitara Brezza (7.51 to 11.41 Lakh) and Hyundai Venue (6.92 – 11.78 Lakh). The vehicle that also underpins the Grand i10 Nios and Santro in our market.

The size of the Hyundai Casper is approximately 142 inches (3,595 mm) long, approximately 63 inches (1,595 mm) wide and approximately 62 inches (1,575 mm) high. This means that while Hyundai’s smallest SUV will be slightly shorter and narrower, its smallest offering will be taller than the Santro hatchback, which measures 3,610mm long, 1,645mm wide and 1,560mm high.

Specifications
The Casper will be powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder aspirated engine that powers the Grand i10 Nios (where it produces 83 hp and 114 Nm). The Korean car manufacturer may also offer lower variants of the micro-SUV with the Santro’s 1.1-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine to keep the cost down.

The Hyundai Casper can compete with high-riding hatchbacks like the Tata HBX micro-SUV, Maruti Suzuki Ignis and the Mahindra KUV 100.
