Tesla Model 3 delivered even before launch, will catch 0 to 100 kmh in 3 seconds
America’s electric car maker Tesla had announced to bring cars to India at the beginning of the year. After a long wait, the company has finally delivered Tesla’s Model 3 car in Bangalore. It is believed that Elon Musk’s company will be the first to launch its model electric car in the Indian market.
Driving range and speed
The Tesla Model 3 gets single and dual motor setups. The base variant of the Tesla Model 3 can cover a distance of up to 423 kms on a full charge. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds. However, the top variant of this electric car can run up to 586 km on a single full charge. This variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3 seconds.
Will be able to use the phone as a car key
With this feature in Tesla Model 3 you can use your Android/iOS phone as a key to Tesla Model-3. Also you don’t need to do anything physically with the phone. Even if the phone is in your pocket, the Model 3 automatically detects it and automatically unlocks the doors.
There will be a 5-star safety rating
The Tesla Model-3 got a full 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP (Euro NCAP) safety crash test in the year 2019. The same result is expected in the new model as well. It scored 96% in Adult Occupancy Protection and 86% in Child Occupancy Protection.
This car will be completely ready in India itself
CBU Route Model-3 is Tesla’s cheapest and best-selling car. The Model 3 is expected to be launched as Tesla’s first official electric car in the Indian market. This electric car will be sold completely in India (CBU). However, Tesla is yet to set up its production plant, so it will be imported in bulk and sold to Indian customers.
The price can be up to Rs 70 lakh
Tesla Model-3 is sold in the US market at an initial price of around Rs 30 lakh ($39,990). However, due to the high customs duty levied on cars made abroad, the price of Tesla Model 3 electric car in India could go up to around Rs 70 lakh.
Mukesh Ambani has already bought this car
This is the first Tesla Model-3 car in India. But there are already some more models of Tesla in the country. Some buyers have already imported Tesla models privately. Industrialists like Mukesh Ambani and Prashant Ruia are two of them who own a Tesla car.
