Apple will put special surveillance software in its iPhone, preparing to breach the privacy of users!

Apple company is now going to install such a scan system in its phone, so that the company will keep a constant eye on the activities done by it. Critics have said that this system can prove to be a tool to intrude on people’s privacy. The company has said that it is going to include this system in the phone to monitor the pictures related to child abuse.

Apple company will include a new algorithm called NeutralMatch in its phone. This algorithm will continuously check the photos stored in the phone. Also, it will keep uploading the pictures to iCloud. For now, this algorithm will only be installed on phones sold in the US.

According to the news, Apple informed some US experts and security researchers about NeutralMatch this week. According to it, NeutralMatch will be an automated system, which will immediately alert human investigators if a photograph is suspicious. Human investigators would then verify that. Apple company has given information about this plan in one of its blog posts. It states that this system of child protection will be further developed over time. Apple’s new iOS 15 is about to be released next month. That would include NeutralMatch.

Analysts say that the company has taken this initiative amid increasing pressure for child protection in the US. In this way, it is going to compromise on its promise that it has been saying that the privacy of users is of paramount importance to it. Analysts say that apart from child protection, the governments of various countries are also taking steps to monitor criminal activities, terrorism and financial scams etc. In such a situation, if the phone companies meet everyone’s demand, then the phone will become a tool of continuous user espionage.

Experts have said that every effort should be made to stop child abuse, but this initiative of Apple will allow governments to infiltrate private data of citizens. The purpose for which the company is including the new algorithm in the phone, it can also be used for that purpose.

The Apple company has said that its new technology will give the US government valuable and such information on which it can act to prevent child abuse. But Matthew Green, a professor of cyber security at Johns Hopkins University in the US, said in a tweet that when the information continues to reach Apple, governments will start asking it for every information about every person. Alec Muffett, who campaigns for the right to privacy in America, has said that this initiative of Apple is a retrograde step in terms of personal privacy. With this, it is going to introduce a system of continuous monitoring.
