Let us tell you that the Union Home Ministry had issued an advisory on the occasion of Republic Day in January this year, in which people have been appealed not to use the tricolor made of plastic. Apart from this, the Ministry of Home Affairs had also instructed the states and union territories to strictly follow the flag code. In the advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, strict instructions were given to the states that the states should ensure that the flags being used by the people are not made of plastic, but made of paper and those flags should be given the dignity of the flag. Maintain and dispose of them properly. The ministry said that flags made of plastic do not decompose naturally like those made of paper, they do not decompose for a long time.
