Data leak of thousands of users of Microsoft Azure, company said – change password soon

The data of thousands of users of Microsoft’s cloud computing Microsoft Azure has been leaked. Microsoft has also come to know about this and the company has warned all its customers about this data leak. A cyber security researcher claims that after this data leak, hackers can read, modify the data of Microsoft Azure users and also delete the main database.

This breach is due to a deficiency in Microsoft Azure’s Cosmos DB database. The team of security company Wiz has given information about this data leak through its blog. The company claims that it can tamper with the data of thousands of users of Microsoft Azure. Let us tell you that Ami Luttwak is the Chief Technology Officer at Wiz, who was previously the Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Cloud Security Group. According to Luttwak, there was a flaw in Azure’s central database.

Microsoft has e-mailed its customers to change the password, as the company cannot do it itself. Microsoft has announced to pay Wiz $40,000 for this flaw in Microsoft Azure. Microsoft has also sent an e-mail to Wiz in this regard.

Regarding this data leak, Microsoft has told a news agency that this flaw has been removed with immediate effect and our customers and their data are safe. We thank the security researchers who warned us about this major flaw. Microsoft has told its customers that apart from Wiz, no third party has user data.
