Microsoft acquires video editing browser Clipchamp
Microsoft has bought Clipchamp, although no information has been revealed about the amount of this deal yet. Clipchamp is a web based video editing platform. Microsoft has given information about this deal through one of its blogs. Microsoft users will get the direct benefit of this deal. Microsoft users will now be able to edit videos online through Microsoft 365 as well as Clipchamp. Let us tell you that Clipchamp is already present on the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President Chris Pratley said in the blog that Clipchamp is a technical approach that allows video editing using a computer’s hardware on a web app. Clipchamp uses the system’s GPU for fast rendering of video clips. Screen recording and webcam recording are also available with Clipchamp.
Clipchamp was launched in 2013. Within just a year, the company had said through a press release that after that it had 17 million registered users. Apart from this, about 3,90,000 companies around the world are also using Clipchamp.
