CoWIN portal introduced API, who has got the vaccine and who has not, information will be available immediately

The CoWIN portal has launched a new Application Programming Interface (API) named as Know Your Customer/Client Vaccination Status or KYC-VS. With the help of this, it can be found immediately in railway, mall or any hotel whether someone has taken the vaccine or not. Let us inform that 72 crore people have been vaccinated so far in the vaccination which started from 16 February.

To use this new API of CoWIN, people will have to enter their mobile number and name and after that an OTP will come which will verify the vaccination. At this time, it is more important for an institution than the certificate of vaccine whether a person has got the vaccine or not. In such a situation, this API will prove to be effective.

With this help, railways, hotels and airlines can know the vaccination status of passengers who are booking tickets or booking a room in the hotel. This API will prove to be very helpful during hotel check-in.

Let us inform that CoWIN is already issuing Digital Verification Certificates for proof of vaccination of people. This certificate can be saved in a digital device, saved in DG Locker or can be printed and kept. Now gradually the offices are opening, in such a situation it is very important for the companies to know whether their employees have taken the vaccine or not. In this case, this API will be of great help.
