Facebook bans making Instagram for children, know the reason for making the decision

Instagram is currently shelving plans to develop a separate version for children. The development of Instagram Kids was planned for children under the age of 13. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri wrote in a blog post on Monday that a delay in the plan would give the company time to work with parents, experts, policy makers and regulators on their concerns, and that it’s working with young teens online today. The value and importance of the project will be displayed.

The announcement was preceded by an investigative series, which reported that Facebook had a sense that the use of Instagram by some teens was the cause of their mental health issues.

In March, Facebook announced it was developing Instagram for children. It explained that it was looking for parental controlled experiences.

This decision was taken

After the protests, however, there was immediate opposition to it, and around the same time and in May, a bipartisan group of 44 attorney generals requested Facebook’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg to stop the project. They mentioned the health of the children.

Mosseri said on Monday that the company believes it is important to have an age-focused content-specific platform for children under the age of 13 and that other companies such as TikTok and YouTube have app versions for this age group.
