New feature added in Google Meet, now written dialogues will also be visible on the screen during live conversation

A new feature has been added to Google Meet, in which the live conversation during the video meeting will be shown in the form of subtitles in the written dialogue at the bottom of the screen. A special feature has to be enabled for this feature. Google announced this new feature on Monday.

This feature will also show the conversation of one language on the screen by translating it into another language of the chosen one. At present, this feature has been started only in English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese languages. With the help of this feature, global meetings between people who speak two different languages can now be held without translation.

The benefits of having your speech translated to another language as you deliver it are obvious, both for the speaker and the listeners.

Google thinks the feature will be most useful in all-hands meetings and training programs with globally distributed teams, as well as educators communicating with students.

The company also recently made the Hand Raise more visible in Meet, added new filters and masks to Meet (though only for personal accounts), and added emoji reacts to Meet.
