Bajaj Electricals extends trademark agreement with Morphy Richards for 15 years

New Delhi, Mar 23 (PTI) Home consumer appliance brand Bajaj Electricals Limited (BEL) has announced the extension of its trademark agreement with UK-based Morphy Richards for a period of 15 years with effect from July 1, 2022.

With the extension of the license agreement, BEL will continue to use the trademark Morphy Richards to manufacture, market and sell home appliances in India and neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka, a joint statement issued on Wednesday said. Will be able

With the license renewal, the company will be able to further strengthen its multi-brand offerings and position in India and neighboring countries, according to the statement.

BEL has been offering products under the Morphy Richards brand in the premium home appliance segment to the Indian consumers since April 2002.

Notably, Morphy Richards is part of Glen Dimplex, an international power tool conglomerate from Ireland.

Anuj Poddar, Executive Director, BEL said, “We have extended the agreement for 15 years as a mutual commitment. This will help us plan and grow the Morphy Richards business for the long term.”
