One handbag rule circular issued

Along with giving information about the losses incurred by the airline companies, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said in response to a question that the Civil Aviation Security Bureau has issued a circular of One Handbag Rule to the airlines. This is also being followed. The question was asked whether it is a fact that no aviation company is implementing the one handbag rule within the cabin on domestic flights. If so what is the reason for this? In response, Scindia said that the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security had issued a circular on 24 February 2000 to implement the One Handbag Rule. According to this, no passenger is allowed to carry more than one bag to be carried on an aircraft.
