Tesla Recall: Elon Musk’s Tesla had a major fault, more than 1.3 lakh cars had to be recalled worldwide.

According to the information received, the problem of touchscreen has come to the fore due to overheating of Central Processing Unit (CPU) in Tesla cars. To fix this, the company has recalled 1,30,000 cars.


Tesla released OTA update


According to a report by English tech magazine The Verge, Elon Musk’s company Tesla has recently released an over-the-air update (OTA) to fix the problem on the affected vehicles. The company’s cars where the problem has been reported include 2022 Model 3 and Y, 2021 and 2022 Model X and S.

According to the recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), “During preparation for fast-charging or fast-charging, the infotainment central processing unit (CPU) may not cool sufficiently to prevent exceeding the required temperature.” which can cause CPU slow processing or restart.


Driver may be in trouble
According to the US agency, an overheating problem can prevent drivers from using their backup camera, using the touchscreen, as well as adjusting the speed of their windshield wipers. Tesla shipped vehicles with an AMD Ryzen-based chipset powering the infotainment system last year.
