Swiggy has stopped this popular service in 5 cities, whether your city is also included in the list, know.
Mumbai: Food and grocery delivery platform Swiggy has decided to suspend its SuprDaily services in five cities. This is a popular subscription-based service of the company, under which it delivers milk, bread and other grocery items in the morning. The company’s co-founder Phani Kishan announced this in a blog post on Tuesday.
Service will be stopped in these cities
Kishan has written an email to the employees telling that Supr Daily will suspend its services in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. The company plans to continue its services in Bangalore. Along with this, the company will further strengthen its efforts in the city.
Supr Daily was acquired in 2018
Swiggy acquired Supr Daily, a morning delivery platform for milk, bread and other grocery products, in 2018. After this, Kishan was looking after the operations of the company as the CEO of Supr Daily.
Integration took place in the parent company in September
Supr Daily’s co-founders Puneet Kumar, ShreyasNagdavane and Rohit Jain left Swiggy last year. The reason for this is that Swiggy had said that it has integrated the subscription-based service with the parent company Bundl Technologies.
The company has temporarily stopped these services.
This announcement of the closure of Supr Daily Services in most cities comes at a time when the company has recently temporarily closed its service Genie related to pickup and drop. The company has closed these services in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
These companies are running subscription based services
At present, many big companies are running subscription based services related to morning delivery. These include Big Basket’s BB Daily service. Along with this, Milkbasket also provides such services, which was acquired by Reliance Industries (RIL) last year.
