Air India sent notice to employees: Government accommodation will have to be vacated by July 26, there are major housing colonies in Delhi and Mumbai

Tata Group-owned Air India has asked its employees to vacate the given houses. According to the official document, the notice has been given till July 26 to vacate the house.

Tata Group had bought Air India on 8 October last year. In this, non-core (non-core) assets of airlines such as colonies remain with the government, as per the terms of deinvestment. Hence the employees have been asked to vacate the colonies.

Major housing colonies in Delhi and Mumbai

Air India has two major housing colonies in Delhi and Mumbai. Air India had issued an order on May 18, stating that AI Assets Holding Limited (AIAHL) had sent us an email on May 17. In the email, the employees living in the given houses of Air India Company have been advised to send the reminder to vacate the house by July 26. However, AISAM had already conveyed this to Air India.

AIAHL established in 2019

The AIAHL was created by the Center in 2019. It has been created to pay off debt by selling non-core assets of Air India Group after deinvestment.

Along with this, AISAM was also formed, which is a group of ministers. It was headed by Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who handled the de-investment of Air India.
