New Delhi : Online Gaming: The craze for online games is increasing continuously among children in India. Earlier, the Modi government had decided to ban games like PUBG, but online gaming companies re-introduce such games by making slight changes in the name.
Fans of playing online games find them in some way and start playing the game again. The Modi government has formed a panel of ministers who is going to work on the regulation of the online gaming industry.
An official related to this matter has said that the Government of India has also given the responsibility of identifying the committee of ministers that what kind of rules should be made for this and which nodal ministry should be made for this.
The Government of India has formed a panel of 7 members which is going to work on the matter of regulating online games. In this, the CEO of the government’s think tank NITI Aayog, Secretary of Home Affairs, Revenue, Industrial and Internal Trade as well as representatives of Electronics and IT, Information and Broadcasting, Sports Ministries.
This panel will look into different ways of promoting online games and help frame the rule machinery for the same. Online gaming regulations include issues such as the safety of gamers, ease of doing business for companies.

The Federation has said that this step of the government can prove to be very helpful in promoting the online gaming industry in India.
