IKEA India will launch its biggest store in India in Bangalore, know how big it is
New Delhi: Furniture and furnishings major IKEA India will on Wednesday launch its largest store in India in Nagasandra, Bengaluru. Giving this information on Tuesday, the company said that with plans to invest Rs 3000 crore in Karnataka, it expects around 5 million visitors to its Bengaluru store this year. The Nagasandra store is Ikea’s fourth store in India.
This 4,60,000 sq ft store spread over an area of 12.2 acres
Swedish company Ikea said in a release that the new store will emerge as an established name for the city of Bengaluru. Spread over an area of around 12.2 acres, the 4,60,000 sq ft store will have a host of home furnishing options for the modern lifestyle.
CEO Suzanne Pulverer said this
“It is our long-term commitment to make a positive impact on the local economy of Karnataka through our business. It will also provide an opportunity to improve the ecosystem for the entire industry,” said Suzanne Pulverer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), IKEA India.

Ikea employs around 1,000 employees in its Bengaluru store, of whom 72 per cent are locals. It also plans to hire other people at the local level.
