PM Modi launched Digital India Week: On this occasion, India has resolved the lines for birth certificate and ration by going online.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Digital India Week-2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat today. India solved the lines online
Those born in the 21st century find digital life very cool. But remember the situations 8-10 years ago, line for birth certificate, line in banks, line for taking ration, line for depositing bill and line for admission. India has solved so many lines online. There are many services online today, from birth certificates to life certificates that identify senior citizens. Things that once used to take days are now done in a matter of seconds.
Last 23 lakh crore rupees sent from DB to the bank account of the beneficiaries
He further said that through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in the last 8 years, more than 23 lakh crore rupees have been sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Due to this technology, 2 lakh 23 thousand crore rupees of the country have been saved from falling into the wrong hands.
Informed about the services being provided through digital platforms
An exhibition was also organized during the program, in which information was given about the services easily available to the people through public digital platforms like Aadhaar, UPI, Co-Win and DigiLocker. The program was organized at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre. This program will run till July 9. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajiv Chandrashekhar were specially present during the program.
Seven and a half hundred crore rupees fixed
The State Information Technology Department (IT) is organizing this event to mark the completion of seven years of Digital India. The objective of this program is to increase access to technology, streamline the service delivery system to facilitate lifestyle and promote startups. A total amount of seven and a half hundred crores has been earmarked for this scheme. The theme of Digital India Week is New India Technology Inspiration.
Digital fair also organized
The digital fair is being organized with over 200 stalls in partnership with startups, government, industry and education centres, showcasing different digital solutions that make everyday life easier. In addition, technology based solutions developed through Indian unicorns and startups will also be held in virtual mode from July 7 to 9. Experts from different fields will exchange technology in this.
