Assam Flood: Flipkart and Walmart come together to help the flood affected in Assam, will give two crore rupees.
Walmart Foundation and Flipkart Foundation on Thursday announced that they will together contribute Rs 2 crore (2,50,000) to help the flood affected in Assam. Using the funds given by the organization, an organization named Doctors for You will help people in the flood-affected areas.
Julie Geherky, Vice President and CEO of Walmart Foundation, said, “Our sympathies are with those affected by the devastating floods in Assam. With the help of Flipkart Foundation, we will make every possible contribution to the relief work being carried out for the population affected by the floods.
On the other hand, Rajnish Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, said that the people of Assam have been badly affected by the floods and it is our endeavor to provide all necessary assistance, care and compassion to the people. We will try to provide all necessary resources in the flood affected areas with the help of our organization partners.
