Hp will make digital classroom in school, know how it will happen.
New Delhi, Tech Desk. HP India, a tech company promoting digital learning opportunities, has made an announcement for India. Under this, it will provide the facility of 2000 digital classrooms under the HP ALFA (Accessible Learning for All) project. These digital classrooms will be set up in government or government-aided schools in 17 states for students of classes IX to XII. This step of the company has been taken keeping in mind the new education policy NEP 2020 of the Government of India.
What will happen in hp’s Digital Classroom
HP is inviting Corporate Foundations and NGOs to participate in this endeavor and the last date to apply is 7th October 2020. HP will bear the cost of making each classroom equipped with the technology itself. The classrooms will have multi-function printers, webcams, a laptop for teachers, smart TVs, Android boxes and internet dongles for connectivity.
HP’s NGO partner NIIT Foundation will be responsible for implementing this program, which will be supported by other corporations, corporate foundations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in their CSR efforts. As the implementing agency of the effort, HP will deploy cluster coordinators in collaboration with NIIT Foundation to monitor the implementation and progress of the project in different clusters.
NCERT syllabus will be used in the classroom
The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Diksha course content and curriculum will be used for classroom and learning programmes. This project will ensure that these students make full use of digital content and tools of e-learning and enhance their learning journey. For this project, teacher training sessions will also be organized in all the schools so that they can take technology based education in the classroom and engage the students with them. Under this project, possibilities are being explored to partner with boards of different states and private companies providing content, so that course material can be made available in local languages at selected places. Apart from academic subjects, other programs recognized by the Government of India and EDP (EDP Entrepreneurship Development Program) courses will also be provided in this project.
Where will the HP Alpha project start?
This project is divided into few phases. The first phase involves those corporate foundations that work with such government and government-aided schools. For this, there will be only students of class 9th to 12th in schools. This may include schools in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi/NCR, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Daman and Diu, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Schools in all these states have to apply for the HP Alpha (Accessible Learning for All) project.
