Adani Green: Suzlon Group to set up wind power project for Adani Green Energy, production will start next year

Gautam Adani’s company Adani Green Energy has entrusted the development of 48.3 MW wind power project to Suzlon Group, a service provider in the renewable energy sector. Suzlon Group will install 23 units of wind turbine generators for Adani Green Energy. This project will be developed in Mandvi, Gujarat. It is expected to be launched in the year 2023. According to the company, this project is in addition to Adani Green’s already existing 226.8 MW order, which was announced on August 13.

According to media reports, Suzlon will provide supply, installation and maintenance service in this project. After the news related to this came out from the media, the shares of Suzlon Company saw a rise of four percent on Tuesday. At present, the company’s shares are trading at Rs 7.75 on NSE.

Speaking about the deal, Girish Tanti, Executive Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group said, “We are delighted that Adani Green Energy Limited has placed its trust on us for placing additional orders for its wind energy project at Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat. Group CEO Ashwini Kumar says that Suzlon’s wind turbines typically use 70% to 80% domestic materials. In such a situation, this project is also in line with the vision of self-reliant India.
