Air Works Group: Adani has now bought this defense giant, a big deal of Rs 400 crore.
Adani Group’s company ‘Defense Systems and Technologies Limited’ (ADSTL) has announced to buy stake in Air Works Group. Adani Group will take over Air Works. Four hundred crore rupees have been signed for this. Air Works is the largest Independent Aircraft Maintenance Organization (MRO) in the country and has a large pan India network in 27 cities.
ADSTL said in a statement, Air Works Company is engaged in large scale business for core defense and aerospace platforms within the country. From the first P-8I aircraft phase, Phase 32 to Phase 48 check and MRO on the landing gear of 737 VVIP aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Works is operating from its EASA for its ATR 42/72, A320 and B737 fleet of aircraft. Maintains base for maintenance. Mumbai Delhi, Hosur and Kochi have DGCA-certified facilities.
The statement further said that Adani is a $250 billion value defense unit of the Defense and Aerospace Group. Air Works Group Managing Director and CEO D. Anand Bhaskar said that India has the potential to become an MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Organization) hub for the defense and civil aircraft sectors. This is a great opportunity for Air Works and its employees to join the Adani Defense and Aerospace platform. This will create large scale economies and employment opportunities in the future.
