Mahindra Group will now strengthen the hands of women, join hands with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

New Delhi. Mahindra Group will help women in India to become financially strong. Actually, the group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for this.

According to news agency PTI, Mahindra Group said in a statement issued on Tuesday that the MoU is for 2 years. The agreement is part of its Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) commitment to benefit one million women every year from 2026.

According to the statement, this partnership will work for gender equality and the programs launched under it will focus on economic empowerment of underprivileged women.

Anish Shah, Managing Director and CEO, Mahindra Group said, “We will create a collaborative platform that will help underprivileged women across the country to leverage the power of technology.”

Hari Menon, director in India, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation India, said that this tie-up will help in gender equality and economic empowerment of women.

Foundation announces $1.2 billion to end polio

Recently the ‘Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’ announced a $ 1.2 billion donation to eradicate polio from all over the world. The foundation said in a statement that the money would be used to fully implement the strategy of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative by 2026. Under this initiative, efforts are being made to eliminate polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
