Market Cap: Market cap of eight companies decreased by 1.06 lakh crore in top-10, Infosys-TCS suffered the most.
The market capitalization of eight companies out of the top-10 Sensex companies has decreased by Rs 1.06 lakh crore. According to the data, the biggest losses have been incurred by Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and HDFC Bank. The market capitalization of Infosys declined by Rs 25,185.37 crore to Rs 6,09,687.79 crore.
Sensex had rolled 940.37 points
Last week, the 30-share Sensex had plunged 940.37 points, with a loss of 1.55 per cent. Due to this, except for Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), the market valuation of other companies also decreased. Apart from Infosys, HDFC Bank’s market cap declined by Rs 18,375.41 crore to Rs 8,89,130 crore. At the same time, the market capitalization of TCS decreased by Rs 17,289.02 crore to reach Rs 11,75,287.30 crore.
ICICI and SBI also suffered loss
ICICI Bank’s market cap declined by Rs 14,447.69 crore to Rs 6,07,140.65 crore. So the market valuation of State Bank of India (SBI) declined by Rs 11,245.01 crore. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 7,408.2 crore to Rs 17,16,571.25 crore. Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, SBI, HDFC, LIC and Bharti Airtel.
