TCS: TCS will provide more than 1.25 lakh jobs, net profit increased by 11 percent to 10,846 crores.

The country’s largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will provide jobs to more than 1.25 lakh people in the next financial year. The company has made this announcement after a slight decline in the number of employees in the December quarter of the current financial year.


TCS said, for the last 18 months, we have done rapid recruitment. However, due to lack of demand, its employee strength has come down by 2,197 to 6,13,974 in the December quarter. The company’s chief executive and managing director Rajesh Gopinathan said, “We are recruiting at the same level. 1.25-1.50 lakh will be recruited in the next financial year. In 2021-22, the company gave jobs to 1.03 lakh new people. So far in 2022-23, around 55,000 people have been recruited.


Net profit up 11 percent to Rs 10,846 crore


TCS’s net profit rose 11 per cent to Rs 10,846 crore in the December quarter of the current financial year. Net profit stood at Rs 9,769 crore in the same period a year ago. The profit increased due to increase in foreign exchange earnings, the company said. Total revenue increased by 19.1% to reach 58,229 crores. TCS has declared a special dividend of Rs 67 and an interim dividend of Rs 8 per share. The employee attrition rate decreased from 21.5 to 21.3% in the quarter.
