During this, the chairman of Tata Sons said that we have built a special relationship with Airbus. I am happy to announce that we have signed an agreement to buy 250 aircraft from Airbus.

Tata group chief N Chandrasekaran said that Air India will buy 250 aircraft from the Airbus company. This includes 40 wide body A-350 aircraft and 210 narrow body aircraft. An option to extend the order has also been kept in the agreement.

India will become the hub of maintenance and repair
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Indian aviation sector would need more than 2000 aircraft in the next 15 years. India can also become a maintenance and repair hub for the aviation sector in the region.

Meanwhile, the French President said that this achievement shows that Airbus and all French partners are working to enhance partnership with India. We have achieved a lot with India. We have a historic opportunity to take this further.
