Ashwini Vaishnaw: First indigenous eNodeB installed, IT minister said – this is a milestone for Make in India mission.

Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav made a big statement on Tuesday regarding BSNL. He said that there has been no delay in setting up the indigenous 4G-5G network of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Vaishnav said that it is a complex process which takes time. But now this process has started yesterday. He also announced setting up of Made in India and Design in India eNodeB at Chandigarh.


Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the first indigenous eNodeB installed in Chandigarh is an important milestone for the Make-in-India mission. He said that our next major target is to get the Telecom Bill passed in the coming monsoon session. This will lead to a whole range of reforms in terms of spectrum, licensing, regulation. The Telecom Bill will lead to significant reforms.


Other countries adopting UPI


Talking on 4G, 5G and UPI, Union Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that I cannot name now but 18 countries have expressed interest in our 4G and 5G stack. Many countries want to adopt our UPI. This is the main agenda in the G20. At least 50-60 countries have expressed interest.


Will bring telecom bill soon


The Union Minister also talked about bringing the new Telecom Bill soon. He said that our next main target would be to pass the Telecom Bill in the monsoon session of Parliament. Through this there will be major reforms in spectrum, licence, regulation. We are working on it and after talking to different ministries, stakeholders etc we will come out with the final draft.


BSNL 4G


Let us tell you that recently the company had made a big disclosure about BSNL 4G. In fact, regarding the launch of BSNL’s 4G service, a user tagged BSNL India and asked the company when the 4G network of BSNL would be launched. After which the company while replying to the user said that we will soon launch the upgraded internet service. Although the company did not disclose the date of 4G launch, but the company said that BSNL has received the 4G license in the revival package. Along with this, indigenous equipment is also being supplied.

InnoDB is an important part of LTE (Long-Term Evolution) base station network and performs network control functions along with mobile network coverage formation. The newer NodeB or eNodeB is the base station equipment that handles the radio interface with the smartphone. That is, it improves mobile network coverage.
