Solar System: This company of North India jumped into the roof top solar project, know the plan.
New Delhi: Jindal Stainless, a North Indian company that manufactures stainless steel, has revealed a big plan in the solar project. Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), the largest stainless steel maker in the country, has decided to set up rooftop solar plants at its Jajpur and Hisar plants. For this, there is an investment plan of Rs 120 crore at present.
If carbon emission will decrease then crores of electricity will be generated
JSL said in a statement issued on Tuesday that a project of 21 megawatt capacity (MWP) will be set up at the company’s Jajpur plant in Odisha. At the same time, six MWp ‘rooftop’ solar capacity will be installed at the company’s unit in Hisar. It said, “These two solar plants will generate 79.5 crore units of electricity in 25 years, while reducing 5,64,450 tonnes of carbon emissions.”
The project will be completed by March next year
Jindal Stainless has said that both these projects are expected to be completed by March, 2024. The power generated from these projects of the company will be used for itself (Captive). JSL Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said, “This is an important step towards achieving our net zero emission target. We are committed to adopting responsible business practices to reduce carbon emissions.
