Nita Ambani launches The Her Circle EveryBODY project to promote body positivity.
Mumbai, March 8, 2023: On International Women’s Day this year, Smt. Nita M. Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, called for celebrating body positivity and empowering everyone irrespective of size, age, colour, religion, neurodiversity or physical appearance. Launched The Her Circle, EveryBODY project to encourage acceptance. The initiative aims to create a circle of kindness and non-judgmental acceptance. Har Circle was founded and launched by Mrs. Ambani in 2021 to create a safe, inclusive, growth-oriented digital haven for women. On its second anniversary, the platform has become India’s largest digital platform for women with a total reach of 310 million. Taking forward the core cause of inclusivity, Mrs. Ambani invited each and every individual to come forward, be a part of this initiative and make a difference.
Speaking at the launch of the Har Circle Everybody Project, Mrs. Nita M. Ambani said, “Her circle is about sisterhood, but it also has an emphasis on togetherness. Togetherness that is based on equality, inclusiveness and respect for all. Our new project – This is the core of the Har Circle Everybody project. We all have seen the kind of trolling that happens on social media. They form opinions without knowing the battles people are fighting. People may suffer from medical problems. It is possible that they are troubled due to genetic reasons. And yet they are subjected to trolling and humiliation. This can be very harmful, especially to young minds. I hope our initiative can somehow find a solution to this problem and give people the confidence and freedom to identify themselves.”
Mrs. Nita M Ambani congratulated the users of Har Circle with a special message, “Congratulations to the entire team of Har Circle and millions of women! We started as an idea. We hope this becomes a movement for all women! We launched every circle during the corona pandemic, that too when the lockdown was going on. We have come a long way in the last two years. But this is just the beginning!”
Milestones in every circle’s second year include digital experimentation and networking. With over 2,20,000 registered women users, mostly entrepreneurs, we are constantly encouraging women to collaborate professionally and socially.
The Every Circle Everybody Project is a year-long initiative. Har Circle aims to promote women of diverse body sizes and textures through real life stories and short films in the world of social media. Women who have challenged unrealistic beauty standards and stigmatized norms that expect women to be a certain shape, size and complexion. Women who have turned their natural skin into success, embraced their uniqueness and become change and influential voices in the digital space.
