Now the biggest hassle of booking Uber cab is over, the company started this scheme in 6 cities.
The biggest problem for the users of the app-based taxi service provider Uber is the non-availability of taxis or the cancellation of cabs at the last moment. But now to give relief from this, the company has launched the ‘Reserve’ feature in 6 other cities of the country. With the help of this new feature, customers will have the option to pre-book their ride from 30 minutes to 90 days before their journey. With this, Uber’s ‘Reserve’ feature will now be available for cash payments as well.
Uber said in a press note released that now this reserve service has been started in six new cities Kochi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Guwahati. ‘Reserve now appears as a new option in the latest version of the Uber app and is available on Uber Premier, Uber Intercity, Uber Rental and Uber XL,’ said an Uber release.
With this, the service has now gone live in 13 cities in India – Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Guwahati. According to Uber, the new product has been developed keeping in mind the needs of pre-planned travel, which include business travel, airport drops, scheduled visits like doctor’s appointments.
Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia said, “With Reserve, riders can pre-book their rides ensuring peace of mind, certainty and additional control over their journey. Reserve opens up even more options for drivers to choose between on-demand and pre-booked trips.
