RuPay Card: Alliance to increase worldwide acceptance of RuPay Debit Card, currently valid in these countries.

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is making efforts to enter into more tie-ups to increase the global acceptance of RuPay Debit Card.

Sources said, there is a need to strengthen the RuPay debit card. NPCI is working in this direction so that users of RuPay cards can reach at par with those using Visa or Mastercard.”

RuPay had tied up with Discover Financial Services in March 2012 to offer international services to Indian citizens. In July 2019, JCB International Company Ltd. has strengthened its network capabilities by introducing the RuPay JCB Global Card in association with

RuPay cards are currently accepted at Discover of the US, Diners Club, JCB of Japan, Pulse and Union Pay of China enabled point of sale machines (POS).

The RuPay JCB Global Card can be used for POS, e-commerce and ATMs at RuPay Card acceptance centers in India and JCB Card acceptance centers outside the country.
