Neeva Search Engine: Google’s rival search engine is shutting down, was launched four years ago, know the reason.

Tech giant Google’s rival search engine Neeva is about to shut down. The company said that it is preparing to shut down its search engine platform from June 2. Let us tell you that Niva was introduced four years back. This platform was introduced by two former Google employees in the competition of Google and it was an ad free search engine.

Former Google employees created the search engine

The search engine Niva was developed by two former Google employees Sridhar Ramaswamy and Vivek Raghunathan. This platform was introduced in the year 2019 and now the company has decided to discontinue it. The search engine will be shut down from 2 June 2023. On visiting the page of the search engine, the message of its closure is also visible.

Was ahead of google in many ways

Neeva co-founders Sridhar Ramaswamy and Vivek Raghunathan wrote in a blog post announcing the shutdown that building a search engine is hard. He said it was made better than its competitor. It was ad free and was ahead of Google in many ways. He said it was ahead of Google in terms of swapping out 10 blue links to feature more visual pages and de-emphasizing human-generated information.

The company told the reason for discontinuing Neeva

However, Ramaswamy and Raghunathan said that throughout this journey we found that it is one thing to build a platform and quite another to convince users of the need to switch to it as a better option. But building the search engine was actually the easy part. While tech experts say that the company’s plan to pursue an ad-free search engine has failed.
