TCS banned 6 job portals, employees also fell in the job scam of about 100 crores.
After a big scam regarding jobs in the country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) came to the fore, now the company has come into action. Taking major action, the company has banned 6 web portals giving information about jobs. The company has also taken action against the employees giving important information to these job portals. In the preliminary investigation, 6 employees have been found guilty of giving information to these portals and getting financial benefits from it. The other 3 employees of the company are currently on the radar of the company.

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that TCS has taken action against six employees for helping and benefiting from job information companies in the recruitment of contract workers. Speaking at the annual general meeting of the country’s largest information technology services exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) here, Chandrasekaran said the company is examining the roles of three more employees.

Responding to a question from shareholders, he said, “We have banned six employees and six companies.” He said the company had received two complaints, following which it had investigated the allegations. One pertains to the hiring of business associates or contract workers in the US, and the second complaint pertains to recruitments in India in late February and March. Chandrasekaran said he could not quantify the benefits these employees received, but the banned employees behaved in a manner that showed them favors to certain companies.

Earlier this month, some media reports said that TCS has suspended some employees for violating company rules. In some reports, the assessment of the benefits received by the employees has been told up to Rs 100 crore. Chandrasekaran said that “the company will review the ‘Business Associate’ supplier management process and see if there are any lapses. The company will completely tighten the process to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.”
