Paytm launches Card Sound Box: Will accept payment up to Rs 5000 from debit-credit cards, will be available for Rs 999
Fintech firm Paytm has launched a new device called ‘Paytm Card Sound Box’ to accept payments through cards. This device will be an advanced version of the existing ‘Sound Box’, which will accept credit card / debit card payments up to Rs 5000 with QR. The company has kept its price at Rs 999.

This device has a built-in feature of tap-and-pay, which will also be able to receive payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express and RuPay cards. With this device of Paytm, payment can also be made from smartphone through Near Field Communication (NFC). Apart from this, this device is equipped with an LCD display, which will show payment information.
The company’s CBO-EDC said- the card will take the payment to the micro level
Recently Paytm launched Paytm Pocket Sound Box and Paytm Music Sound Box. But the Paytm Card Sound Box is the most advanced of these. Company officials said that with the launch of this device, the company has solved two problems faced by merchants – accepting card payments as well as providing instant audio alerts for all payments. Subsequently, Paytm’s CBO-EDC Bipin Kaul said that this device will take card payments to the micro level, which will lead to an increase in card payments.
Paytm’s share of 14% in the country’s UPI payment
According to reports, Paytm is the third largest payment service provider after PhonePe and Google Pay, with more than 14% share in total UPI payments.
