Now suspicious number will be seen in red strip on Truecaller: New anti fraud feature search context rollout, company also launched new icon and logo.
Truecaller has launched a new icon and logo of the app while rebranding on Wednesday (September 20). This change is immediately visible in Android’s Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Along with the rebranding, the company has rolled out a new anti-fraud feature ‘Search Contacts’. With its help, numbers will appear in three color categories in the app.
The number of users who have recently changed their name will appear with a blue strip.
The number of users who change their name multiple times in the app will appear with a yellow strip.
The number of users who have changed their name more than 3 times in the last 7 days will be visible with a red strip. These will fall in the suspicious category, in which warning will be visible.
Information about the caller number will also be written in the three colored strips.

WhatsApp is soon going to add a new feature in the app to identify fake and spam calls (both video/audio). For this, the instant messaging app has partnered with Truecaller 4 months ago to provide caller identification service.
This feature will help WhatsApp users to identify fake, spam and calls coming through the internet. The new feature will be available for both video and audio calls on WhatsApp. Currently, Truecaller is able to identify only those calls that users receive through their telecom service provider.
