TCS: TCS ends work from home, asks employees to come to office and follow dress code
Indian IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has asked employees to start working from the office. In an email sent to the employees, the company has asked the employees to keep in mind the dress code while coming to the office.
An email sent by Chief Human Resources Officer Milind Kakkar reminded employees of the importance of following the appropriate dress code. “This is important to create the right impression with stakeholders globally. The dress code policy gives clear guidance on correct attire when carrying out official responsibilities and duties,” the email said.
The CHRO notes that many employees have joined the company over the past two years and are still working remotely. He said that these employees have to be integrated in the TCS manner. The company’s dress code policy is also highlighted in the mail.
It says associates are expected to wear business casual. Men should wear long sleeve shirts with trousers and women should wear flowing business dresses. This is Monday to Thursday attire. The company allows smart casuals, which include half sleeve shirts, turtlenecks, khakis, chinos and kurtis and salwars (women) etc.
TCS had announced last month that some teams had been asked to return to the office due to customer demand. CHRO Milind Lakkad told PTI that about 70 percent of the employees are working from the office.
