Nvidia and Foxconn preparing to change the world of AI! Know what is the plan of these big companies
New Delhi: The world’s most valuable chipmaker company Nvidia (Nvidia) and Taiwanese giant Foxconn, which manufactures electronic goods on contract, have made a big deal in the field of AI. Both the companies have joined hands to create AI factories. Both companies say that this will be a new type of data center that will use Nvidia’s chips for a variety of applications. These include training on autonomous vehicles and robotics platforms. There is a tussle between America and China regarding semiconductor chips. America has recently banned China from providing advanced chips. This has increased Nvidia’s problems. This caused a huge fall in the company’s shares and its market cap fell by $100 billion in a single day.
Nvidia will not be able to sell high-end artificial intelligence chips A800 and H800 to China after US sanctions. The company has made these chips especially for China. Taiwan-born Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Foxconn Chairman Young Liu were seen together at the annual tech event in Taipei on Wednesday. Huang said a new type of manufacturing has emerged. This is a matter of production of intelligence and data centers that create AI factories. He said that Foxconn has the capability and experience to build such factories around the world.
What is the company’s plan?
Liu said Foxconn is trying to transform itself from a manufacturing service company to a platform solutions company. Foxconn makes more than half of the products of America’s leading tech company Apple. The company is now expanding its business and wants to replicate the assembly of personal computers and smartphones in other regions. In June, Liu said in an interview that electric vehicles will become the engine of growth in the coming decades.
The demand for Nvidia’s advanced chips has increased all over the world. Due to this, the company’s shares have increased three times this year and its market cap has crossed one trillion dollars. It is the sixth most valuable company in the world and fifth most valuable company in America. In January, Foxconn and Nvidia partnered to develop autonomous vehicle platforms. In this, Foxconn will make electronic control units for cars using Nvidia chips.
