Standard Chartered: Standard Chartered appoints Jujar Tinwala as CTOO, will replace Sarabjit Anand

Standard Chartered Bank on October 25 announced the appointment of Jujar Tinwala as its Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTOO) for India and South Asia. He replaces Sarabjit Anand, who has decided to explore opportunities outside the bank.

The bank said in a press release, “Tinwala was previously the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank and has been with the Bank for 26 years, leading various teams in operations and technology. Tinwala is a member of the TTO Asia Management Team (MT) and India Country will remain a part of MT.” The bank said the appointment will be subject to regulatory approval or filing where necessary. Earlier in September, the bank had launched its private banking center in Chennai as the fifth center after Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
