Indian companies will make parts of Airbus commercial aircraft: deal signed with Mahindra Aerospace, Equus, Dynamic and Gardner
French aerospace company Airbus has signed contracts with 4 Indian companies for aircraft component manufacturing. According to the deal, Mahindra Aerospace will make air frame and wing parts for Equus Pvt Ltd, Dynamatic and Gardner Company.
According to the statement issued by the company, these components will be made for Airbus’s A320-neo, A330-neo and A350 aircraft. The company already buys components worth ₹6,242 crore from India every year.
It is expected to increase significantly after this deal. Earlier this year, Airbus had signed a deal with Tata Advanced Systems for cargo and bulk cargo door manufacturing of the A320 neo family.
India is the hub of human resources for Airbus
Remi Maillard, President-MD of India and South Asia, Airbus, said – We are contributing in creating the necessary ecosystem to give India a place in the world in the field of aerospace. He said- India is not just a market for Airbus, but also a hub of aerospace components and services and human resources.
