Adani Group has said in a recent statement that it is going to make a huge investment of $ 100 billion in the next decade to achieve green energy transition. Apart from this, the group is also preparing to plant 10 crore saplings by 2030. This statement of Adani Group has come at a time when five companies of the group have already set the target of net zero.
Net zero target of these 5 companies
Five Adani Group companies – Adani Green Energy, Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, ACC and Ambuja Cement have set a target of becoming net zero by 2050 or earlier. Net zero means being neutral in terms of carbon emissions. For this, on one hand, the use of green energy is increased to reduce carbon emissions. On the other hand, attention is given to decarbonization measures like tree planting etc.
All five companies have started this work
The five Adani Group companies that have set the target of net zero are already taking measures like increasing the use of renewable energy, making operations more electric, using biofuels and deploying waste heat energy and energy storage technology. But she is working actively. These will be further intensified in the coming days.
The world’s largest green energy park
Adani Group is also building the world’s largest green energy park in the Kutch desert of Gujarat. Chairman Gautam Adani has recently shared its pictures, which show the level at which the construction of the Green Energy Park is going on in the desert. Adani Group’s under-construction Green Energy Park is being built in 726 square kilometers. Gautam Adani had told with pictures that the Green Energy Park of his group will be so huge that it will be visible even from space. 30 gigawatt electricity will be generated in the park, which will illuminate more than 2 crore houses.
Work is going on on 3 giga factory
The group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises has already started generating electricity from India’s largest wind turbine. 5.3 MW electricity is being generated from it. Adani Enterprises is also building a 3 Giga factory with the target of 10 GW solar panels, 10 GW wind turbines and 5 GW hydrogen electrolyzers.
