Microsoft changed the keyboard after 30 years: Gave a separate button for AI chatbot Copilot, placed it next to the Alt key
Tech company Microsoft has made important changes in the keyboard of laptops and PCs after almost 30 years. A new button has been added to the keyboard to launch your AI chatbot co-pilot directly from the keyboard button. With this it wants to improve the user experience.
Microsoft has introduced ‘Co-Pilot Key’ to replace ‘Windows Key’. It will be placed next to the ‘Alt key’ on the right side on most keyboards, with placement varying between OEMs and different markets. The co-pilot logo is placed on the new button.
At present, it will be available in some selected personal computers running Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system. Microsoft introduced the Windows/Start key in 1994. After this, this is the first time when the company is going to make any modification in the keyboard layout.
If Co-Pilot is not available then this key will launch Windows Search.
If Windows Co-Pilot is not yet available in your country, the ‘Co-Pilot key’ will launch Windows Search instead. The existing Windows key opens the Start menu, or pressing other buttons with it can create shortcuts to other functions.
New ‘key’ will be introduced in CES technology conference
According to reports, this new co-pilot button in the keyboard of Windows 11 will be introduced at the CES Technology Conference. Microsoft will also work with Chat-GPT maker Open-AI for this.
